About Us

The Center for Computational Medicine (CCM) is a Core Facility within the SickKids Research Institute. Our mission is to provide the scientists and clinicians at SickKids with computational expertise, including High Performance Computing resources, Bioinformatics Analysis consulting and software development.The CCM also acts as a collaboration nexus, working with both biological/medical and computational scientists at SickKids and the University of Toronto to identify appropriate collaborators.

Programmer/Analyst (Job # 8714)

We are looking for a full-time Mobile Developer for our latest application that assists with doctors’ note taking process. You will be developing mobile apps that run on iOS or Windows (tablet form using UWP). You will be an integral part of our team, helping us transform research results into real-world applications. We need your creativity in designing effective user interfaces to improve clinical workflow and quality of patient care.

Admin Assistant (Job # 8391)

Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding administrative position where you can utilize your organizational, communication, and time management skills? If you are, then we have an opportunity for you!

In this Administrative Assistant role, you will be supporting one Scientist in addition to the Director of the Centre for Computational Medicine (CCM). CCM is a core facility providing our scientific community the expertise in High Performance Computing (HPC), bioinformatics, and software development including office management, financial and accounting related duties, etc.
You will act as a resource and a communication link for information within the department. This role will require the successful candidate to provide support to the Scientist/Director’s academic, and research, portfolios as well as administrative support for their labs.

Postdoctoral Fellow or Research Associate in Bioinformatics

The Centre for Computational Medicine, a core facility within the world renowned Hospital for Sick Children Research Institute is interested in hiring you. The ideal candidate will have:
• An established track record of publications in scientific journals.
• Experience developing and implementing algorithms for the processing of large genomics and biomedical data sets. Experience with RNA-seq a plus.
• Background in biology, genetics, and statistics, to understand the scientific requirements of the applications to be developed.
• Proficiency in Python and experience using R
• Experience developing bioinformatics tools and pipelines
